Role Description:-

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Procurement Assistant based in Chennai. The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for managing purchase orders, supporting procurement processes, ensuring timely procurement of goods, maintaining vendor relationships, and assisting in inventory management. They will also handle communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient purchasing operations.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Purchasing, Procurement, and managing Purchase Orders
• Excellent Analytical Skills for evaluating supplier performance and assessing cost efficiency
• Effective Communication abilities to collaborate with stakeholders and interact with vendors
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with procurement software is a plus.
• Prior experience in a procurement or purchasing role is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Reduced procurement cycle time by 1530% by streamlining end-to-end sourcing processes, optimizing approval workflows, improving vendor coordination, and leveraging data analysis to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Proficient in SAP MM (Materials Management) with hands-on experience in purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice verification, vendor management, reporting, and procurement process optimization.
