Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical models and algorithms that describe OLED evaporation process and device characteristics.
- Provide GPM and engineering teams a required system & source configuration per customer’s needs considering the process capabilities of Applied’s OLED evaporator
- Identify key design parameters to meet the target specifications and performances, and provide engineering teams the design requirements.
- Support process development team members to configure proper HW setup and process conditions for both lab validation and field process activities.
Requirements
Applied Materials Specific Knowledge
- Understand the process capability of Applied’s OLED evaporator and its components.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding on physics, chemistry, and mathematics
- Physical modeling capability particularly in
- Vacuum evaporation process
- Thin film optics
- Electrical characteristics of OLED (or semi-conductor devices)
- Geometric modeling capability to analyze vapor flux distribution under geometric constraints
- Basic programming skills (e.g., scripting in Excel VBA and/or MATLAB or Python)
Conceptual Skills
- Work independently with minimum guidance
- Analytical thinking: Quickly outline factors and perspectives affecting a problem, performance, and behavior.
- Problem solving: Generate plausible hypothesis and create potential technical solutions.
- Communication: Explain complex problems and/or thinking and/or solution ideas in a logical way and interpret them into simple overview as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree in physics or material science or similar qualification
Willing to travel up to 10% and work 5 days in office
