Job Description
HBEONLABS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end PCB designfrom schematic capture to layout, validation, and manufacturing supportwhile collaborating closely with electrical, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust electronic designs.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida for a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Engineer. The PCB Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing circuit boards, optimizing board layouts, testing component integrations, analyzing electrical and RF performance, and troubleshooting design issues. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient implementation of electrical and RF systems within projects.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Circuit Design and Analog Electronics with knowledge of component selection and integration.
- Skills in Electrical Engineering, ensuring compliance with required standards and regulations.
- Experience with Board Layout for printed circuit boards, including schematic capture and multi-layer design principles.
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) and its applications within circuit board design and testing.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with embedded systems design is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to collaboratively work in a team environment.
- Design multi-layer PCBs (analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics) from concept through production
- Create and maintain schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, and design documentation
- Ensure designs meet signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, thermal, and reliability requirements
- Perform component placement, routing, impedance control, and stack-up definition
- Work closely with electrical, embedded, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration
- Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation during prototype and production stages
- Coordinate with manufacturers and assembly partners to ensure DFM, DFA, and DFT compliance
- Conduct design reviews and implement corrective actions
- Generate Gerber files, BOMs, pick-and-place files, test documentation, and manufacturing notes
- Support compliance with relevant industry standards (IPC, ISO, etc.)
- Assist in prototype builds, testing, and root-cause analysis of hardware issues
- Support cost optimization, component lifecycle management, and redesigns when required
- Provide technical support during production ramp-up and post-production phases
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, or similar
- Solid understanding of:
- High-speed digital design
- Analog and power supply design
- Signal integrity and EMI/EMC best practices
- Experience designing 2-layer to high-layer-count PCBs
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, processors, memory interfaces, and common communication protocols (SPI, IC, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.)
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
- Hands-on experience with DFM/DFA reviews and working with PCB vendors
- Understanding of component packaging, footprints, and library management
- Experience with HDI, RF, or high-speed interfaces
- Familiarity with simulation tools (SI/PI, thermal analysis)
- Exposure to regulatory standards and compliance testing
- Experience working in product development or R&D environments
- Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware-hardware integration
