This is where you and your skills come in. We are looking for a Principal UX Designer to lead and shape video, voice, meetings, chat, and real-time collaboration experiences. This role operates at a system and platform level, owning complex, multi-participant workflows across web, desktop, and mobile.

To succeed in this role, you have a proven ability to:

Video & Collaboration UX Leadership

Own UX for video meetings, calling, screen sharing, chat, recording, and moderation workflows.

Design real-time, state-heavy experiences involving latency, failures, permissions, roles, and transitions.

Drive end-to-end design from problem framing and interaction design to validation and delivery.

Systems, Strategy & Influence

Define scalable interaction models and UX frameworks for collaboration platforms.

Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, and Data to influence platform and roadmap decisions.

Represent UX in reviews with clear, user- and system-driven rationale.

Craft, Quality & Mentorship

Set a high bar for interaction design, usability, accessibility, and performance-aware UX.

Mentor senior and mid-level designers and lead design reviews to elevate overall quality.

Portfolio Requirements

Portfolio demonstrating strong end-to-end UX ownership across complex products or platforms.

Evidence of systems thinking, interaction depth, and problem-solving ability.

Clear articulation of design rationale, trade-offs, and impact.

Education

Masters degree in Design (HCI, Interaction Design, Product Design) or equivalent.

Bachelors degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field.

Required Experience

15+ years in UX / Product Design with strong hands-on experience in video or collaboration platforms.

Proven ownership of complex, real-time, or platform-level experiences.

Ability to operate at both system and interaction detail levels.

Preferred

Experience with UCaaS or enterprise collaboration platforms.

Exposure to AI-assisted experiences and cross-platform products.
