Job Title: Principal– Software Engineering - Node JS Backend Developer

The Purpose of This Role

As part of the FCAT within the Fidelity Center for Applied Technologies (FCAT), the candidate will be part of a team which is focused on building a modern payments platform from scratch as per street specifications. This new platform will be completely on the cloud and will provide various new additional & improved features to the end customer.

The ideal candidate will play the role of a Lead full stack Developer for the payments microservices applications. The candidate is expected to design and develop APIs, manage code reviews & deployments, and coordinate with various stakeholders for development. The candidate would have an opportunity to work in a fast-paced core-brokerage financial industry domain along with an opportunity to learn new functionality.

As a Node.js Backene developer you will be part of the Fidelity Center for Applied Technologies (FCAT) team that focuses on payments initiatives in financial domain.

The Skills that are Key to this role

Required Technical skills

• Backend API development in Node.js , Express.js and/or Nest.js.

• Full understanding of secure development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.

• Design and development skills in RESTful Microservices and Event-based systems

• Working experience in applying design patterns

• Good understanding and experience on database design with RDBMS

• Knowledge about AWS, Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with messaging middleware like Apache Kafka, or AWS Cloud.

• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture

• Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool

• Experience with the following is a plus: GIT, Maven, Jenkins, JIRA

The Skills that are good to have for this role 

• Experience in Java, Golang is an advantage.

• Good to have payments knowledge, including various payment rails in USA.

• Working experience on API Management Platform such as APIGEE

• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or any other discipline

• 9+ years of IT experience

Location : Bangalore – EGL

Shift timings: 8:00 am - 5:00pm
