As a Principal Software Engineer, you will architect and develop exceptional mobile experiences that empower our hobbyists. We are looking for a team member driven by user-centric approaches, innovation, collaboration, agility, and commitment to quality. You will lead the charge in critical architectural and development best practices that define our mobile application products. Your strategic vision and leadership will be key in ensuring our mobile experience is at the forefront of technology and provides unparalleled hobbyists experiences.

What you will accomplish:
Mobile leadership across the company
Hands-on development of our next generation mobile solutions
Drive the technical architecture and implementation of mobile platform and solutions ensuring security, scalability, reliability, performance, and amazing user experience
Define and prioritize the mobile platform roadmap and feature development
Foster strong relationships with product managers, designers, cloud platform partners and other engineers to ensure seamless collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment
Track and report project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes
Champion best practices for development, deployment and quality life-cycles
What you will bring:
12+ years of experience building native mobile apps for Android
Deep knowledge of native mobile app architecture, design patterns, and lifecycle
Experience in building out secure consumer-facing mobile apps with high performance, availability, and scalability
Experience with Computer Vision and real-time frame processing
Experience with cross-platform C++ for iOS and Android devices
Experience with WebView integrations as well as native UI components
Leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor, inspire, and motivate team members to achieve team goals
Ability to conduct research, perform analysis, and communicate results
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technology solutions, project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and influence through well-reasoned explanations
Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment is preferred
Tier 4 on call support experience
