Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Principle Software Engineer Manager to lead the definition and evolution of the agility space within the Enterprise Sydney Platform team. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving measurable improvements in engineering agility, delivery velocity, and customer impact.

Key Challenges You’ll Tackle:Lack of clarity and ownership in agility metrics and outcomes. Fragmented tooling and inconsistent engineering practices. Gaps in visibility and predictability across delivery pipelines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Proven track record of leading engineering teams toward concrete, customer-impacting goals.
Solid technical background with the ability to dive deep and influence architecture and delivery.
Experience driving agility transformations or process improvements at scale.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in engineering management.

Responsibilities

Define and shape the agility strategy for the platform team, aligning with broader enterprise goals.
Identify and address systemic inefficiencies in engineering workflows, tooling, and processes.
Drive KPI-driven improvements across planning, execution, and delivery.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
Lead by example—be hands-on in understanding technical challenges and guiding teams through solutions.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and accountability.
