Principal Smart Factory Solutions Architect (OT + AI Integration)

We are building a next generation Industrial AI & Industry 4.0 company focused on delivering high impact Smart Factory solutions for manufacturing plants (Automotive, Electronics, Pharma, Process Industries).

This is a founding technical leadership role. You will architect, lead, and deliver real shop floor AI systems Computer Vision, Predictive Maintenance, Edge AI, PLC/SCADA integration with direct ownership of pilot success and scale out.

Smart Factory Architecture

• Design end-to-end AI + OT solutions for:
• Computer Vision (defect detection, inspection, activity monitoring)
• Predictive Maintenance (asset health, anomaly detection, failure forecasting)
• Edge AI deployment (low-latency, on-prem, high-availability)
• Integration with PLCs, SCADA, MES, historians, CCTV and sensors
• Define reference architectures, data pipelines, edge stacks, and cybersecurity models.

Pilot Delivery & Client Interface

• Lead 4560 day industrial pilots from:
• Readiness & baseline definition
• Shadow / Assisted / Live deployment
• FAT / SAT & acceptance testing
• ROI validation and scale blueprint
• Act as the senior technical interface with:
• Plant Heads, Quality Heads, Maintenance Heads, Automation & IT teams.

OT & Integration Leadership

• Own PLC/SCADA connectivity (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, etc.)
• Design camera, sensor, lighting, edge hardware and network architecture.
• Ensure industrial reliability, uptime, safety, and commissioning discipline.

Productization & Standards

• Convert pilots into repeatable Smart Factory SKUs.
• Create deployment playbooks, SOPs, acceptance criteria, and training material.
• Define quality gates, governance, and delivery standards.

Team Leadership

• Build and mentor teams across:
• Computer Vision
• Predictive Maintenance / Time-series ML
• Full-stack / Data / MLOps
• PLC / SCADA / Field Engineering

Experience

• 815+ years in Industrial Automation / Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0.
• Hands-on experience with:
• PLC, SCADA, DCS, OT networks
• Vision systems on production lines
• Asset monitoring / condition monitoring
• Integration of analytics / AI with shop-floor systems

Technical Skills

• Strong in 3+ of:
• PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, etc.)
• OPC-UA, Modbus, MQTT, RTSP
• Computer Vision deployment (industrial cameras, lighting, edge inference)
• Predictive Maintenance / Reliability Engineering
• Edge computing (Jetson / Industrial PCs)
• Manufacturing KPIs: OEE, FPY, MTBF, MTTR, scrap, takt time

Leadership & Communication

• Can speak both plant-floor language and boardroom ROI language.
• Comfortable leading FAT/SAT, commissioning, breakdown analysis, and CXO reviews.

• Founding leadership role in a premium Industrial AI firm.
• Direct ownership of multi-crore Smart Factory programs.
• Freedom to architect from first principles (not locked to one OEM stack).
• Fast track to Chief Architect / CTO / Partner role based on performance.
