Principal QA Engineer (Cypress)

We are seeking a Principal QA Engineer to join our agile development team and take ownership of delivering high-quality software through advanced testing strategies. This is a hands-on IC role where you will design and implement automation frameworks, execute complex test plans, and drive an AI-first approach to quality assurance.

What Youll Do

• Lead Testing Initiatives: Design, develop, and maintain robust testing strategies and automation platforms.
• Hands-On Execution: Author and execute functional test cases and automation scripts for complex features.
• Automation Expertise: Define and implement automation strategies, protocols, and frameworks.
• Performance & Accessibility: Conduct performance testing and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend architectural improvements for scalability and reliability of testing methodologies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA engineers to ensure sprint commitments are met.
• AI-Driven QA: Leverage AI agents to automate test execution and reduce reliance on traditional scripts.

What Were Looking For

• Experience:813 years overall in Software Testing.
• 6+ years in Automation Testing .
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Cypress and TypeScript for UI automation.
• Performance testing with K6
• API testing using Postman
• Accessibility tools like Wave and AudioEye
• DevOps Knowledge: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Future-Ready Mindset: Ability to leverage AI agents for automated testing.
