Your Opportunity

Movius is looking for a Principal Platform Security Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of security-first software development practices across our platform. This is a key role focused on driving Zero Trust architecture, embedding security at every layer of the software stack, and promoting secure development practices across engineering teams.

You will work hands-on with technologies such as Ruby, NodeJS, client-side JavaScript, Golang, and PostgreSQL, while collaborating closely with engineering, platform, and SRE teams to ensure our platform remains secure by design.

What Youll Do

• Drive implementation of Zero Trust security principles across platform services and infrastructure
• Design and develop secure software components and libraries across multiple technologies
• Define and promote secure coding standards, threat modeling practices, and security-focused code reviews
• Work with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows (DevSecOps)
• Lead security architecture discussions and provide guidance on secure design patterns
• Build automation tools for security checks, vulnerability detection, and monitoring
• Partner with SRE and platform teams to ensure runtime security, observability, and compliance
• Stay updated on emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices

What You Bring

• 10+ years of software development experience, with strong focus on platform or application security
• Deep hands-on expertise in Ruby, NodeJS, JavaScript, Golang, and PostgreSQL
• Proven experience implementing Zero Trust architecture and secure service communication
• Strong understanding of application security, IAM, encryption, secure APIs, and identity management
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices)
• Familiarity with cloud-native security, containers, Kubernetes, and modern infrastructure security
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, or MITRE ATT&CK
• Hands-on exposure to IAM, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML
• Knowledge of compliance standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA
• Contributions to open-source security tools or security communities
