Principal I, Data Analysis & Visualization

Key Responsibilities:

This role is part of Alcon's Analytics & Intelligence function, a team that advances data science, articficial intelligence, and machine learning to transform the eye care industry.

The Principal I, Data Analysis & Visualization (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading technical projects, using advanced data science techniques to analyze complex datasets, create visualizations, and develop data-driven solutions. You will be expected to build effective and meaningful relationships with project teams to ensure successful project completion. Specifics include:
 

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Total of 6-8 years experience with bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ Years PowerBI (Advanced / Sr - Required)
• 3+ Years Advanced SQL (Advanced / Sr - Required)
• 1+ Year Advanced Analytics (Data Science, Machine Learning/ML, AI)  (Strong Nice to Have)
• 1+ Year Data Engineering (AWS Athena, Lambda, S3, Python, etc.)  (Strong Nice to Have)
• 1+ Year Other BI Tools (Tableau, BusinessObjects, Cognos)  (Nice to Have)
• Manage individual technical data analysis and visualization projects.
• Apply specialized knowledge to achieve project objectives and drive innovation.
• Utilize data science techniques such as machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis to extract insights and create meaningful visualizations to communicate findings.
• Conduct independent research and thought leadership activities to optimize outcomes.
• Achieve goals through mainly self-directed work with potential guidance from management.
• Make operational decisions within the scope of assigned projects.
• Demonstrate project management and technical skills, including advanced problem-solving and effective communication.
• Show proficiency in data analysis and visualization techniques.

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
