About the Role

As a member of our Build and Integration (B&I) team India, you will serve as the resident expert on DevOps and CI/CD practices. Your fluency with tools such as git/Gerrit, Jenkins, and Python is second to none. You have the breadth of knowledge and skills necessary to effortlessly build and manage our CI/CD toolchain. When one of your software integration colleagues encounters challenges implementing unit testing or delta static code analysis, you are the first resource they turn to for help.

Your Team

This position reports to the Manager, Build and Integration India. As an integral member of our experienced development team, you will make an impact working closely with Software Engineers, Test Engineers, and our Integration Software Project Leaders.

What You Will Do (Mandate Skills)

  • Implement best in class CI/CD with automated L1/L2 testing.
  • Knowledge on YOCTO builds, creating layers and recipes.
  • Install and manage our Jenkins setup.
  • Implement and integrate continuous delivery pipelines with Jenkins.
  • Manage permissions on our build environment.
  • Set up, configure, and monitor our version control system (git/Gerrit).
  • Define and run a multi-container environment using Docker Compose.
  • Continuously measure and monitor CI/CD performance.
  • Develop and enhance scripts to automate the integration flow.
  • Manage day-to-day software integration issues.

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the field of DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Several years of experience in DevOps encompassing automation of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of cutting-edge technologies for automation infrastructure deployment.
  • Proficient with scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, and Bash.
  • Strong technical understanding and familiarity with continuous build and version control systems.
  • Good knowledge of containerization & orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

What is Nice to Have

  • Fluent English skills and exceptional communication abilities.
  • Set up and configure our build servers (on-demand servers + AWS).
  • Deploy and maintain our build environment using Ansible.
  • Expertise in creating Linux-based systems using Yocto.
  • Hands-on experience in building software with Docker.
  • Knowledge of Bitbucket and/or perforce.
  • Knowledge on FOSS.
