Position Overview:

We are a leading company in the building construction and Energy industry, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer/Architect to join our Enterprise Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining modern data pipelines and data models using Snowflake, MS SQL Server, Python, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and coalesce. This role will be central to building scalable, reliable, and governed data solutions that enable advanced analytics and reporting across Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Commercial functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Coalesce to ingest, transform, and curate data into Snowflake.
• Build, optimize, and manage data models (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers) in Snowflake to support AI/ ML models and analytics.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and performance tuning.
• Develop analytics-ready data models aligned to business requirements
• Develop Python scripts and frameworks to support data quality, automation, and advanced transformation logic.
• Partner with BI teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Implement and enforce data governance, security (RBAC), and quality standards across the data pipeline ecosystem.
• Support integration of data from multiple source systems (ERP, CRM, HR, Procurement, etc.) into the Snowflake enterprise data warehouse.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, and high availability.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, BI Developers, and Data Governance teams to drive harmonized, reusable data assets.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in Data Engineering profession.
• Proven hand-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, query optimization, security).
• Strong SQL skills (DML, DDL, stored procedures, CTEs, performance tuning).
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and API integration.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Coalesce (or similar modern data transformation frameworks).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ELT pipelines.
• Familiarity with data governance practices (metadata management, lineage, data quality).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, AWS etc).
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, MS SQL Server
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Coalesce, dbt for transformation or similar
• Experience with Snowpark for ML models engineering.
