Job Description

Responsibilities


Manage end of day Batch incidents - partnership with application development and operational support partners
Impact analysis of job abends root case analysis
Manage overall delays to the IM critical milestones, case of failures and notification to downstream teams
Recovery instructions job and/or batch abends (mainframe and distributed)
Communications on incidents greater than severity S5
Continuous focus on identifying and implementing opportunities to drive better efficiencies
Monitor critical milestone completion timelines and track any unexplained deviations
Perform Batch ready for business (RFB) checkouts before start of business day
Setup Batch alerts for new onboardings and fine tune existing ones
Monitor alerts related to abends, long running jobs, platform exceptions including space, CPU's, that may be specific to platforms and application
Develop and maintain Batch run books, review audit trails
Leadership communication Batch status and KPIs
Review job level dependents, resource utilization patter, CPU consumption patterns and devise ways to optimize
Batch time dependencies and white space analysis
Development of Tool strategy - Adoption/In-house development of tools and dashboards
New batch onboardings - process development
Planning, execution, support, collaboration and follow through with actionable related to of DR flips, DR / BCP / Isolation tests
Planning and support for Batch platform related events like Database, Network, Storage, schedulers, other tool version upgrades
Ensure data in Prod and BCP environments are in sync
Review of Temporary Access requests / Get Access entitlements and grant/revoke as appropriate
Support with the setup of Integration and conversion environment for Non-Production
Handle Batch escalations and unresolved issues from within the team, and to external business partners, and engineering teams
