Job Description:

Role Summary:

Responsible for designing, presenting, and justifying next-generation, enterprise-class architectures spanning data center, private/hybrid cloud, networking, and security domains. Engages customers to deliver scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure aligning with business goals and compliance mandates. Partners with sales, engineering, OEMs, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and commercially viable.

Experience:

• 1215 years total IT infrastructure experience
• 810 years in presales or solution architect roles, customer facing
• Background in enterprise infrastructure, managed services, system integration, or large-scale project design

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client needs and business objectives
• Design, size, and propose compute, storage, virtualization, and network/security solutions (incl. VMware, Nutanix, Cisco, Dell VxRail, SD-WAN)
• Architect hybrid cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, GCP), and secure on-prem/cloud connectivity
• Prepare HLDs/LLDs, BOMs, technical and commercial proposals
• Lead POCs, demos, workshops; support RFP/RFI responses
• Perform cost-benefit/ROI analysis; present and justify solutions to CXO-level stakeholders
• Collaborate with OEMs for validation, deal registration, and complex sizing

Technical Skills:

• Compute: Cisco UCS, HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Nutanix
• Virtualization: VMware ESXi/vSphere, NSX-T, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V
• Storage/Backup: SAN/NAS (NetApp, EMC, HPE), Veeam, Commvault, Pure Storage
• Networking: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN (Cisco, Fortinet, Versa, Aruba), WLAN/LAN design
• Security: Next-Gen Firewalls, VPNs, NAC, SIEM, EDR/XDR, zero trust frameworks
• Cloud: Hybrid connectivity, cloud DR, cost optimization, cloud security (Zscaler, Prisma Access, FortiSASE)
• Automation & Monitoring: Ansible, Terraform, SolarWinds, vROps, PRTG, Python scripting

Presales & Soft Skills:

• Conduct discovery sessions, create HLD/LLDs, BOMs, proposals
• Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and POCs
• Draft RFP/RFI responses and technical write-ups
• Strong communication, storytelling, and persuasive skills
