About the Role

We are seeking a Practice Director to lead our Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and advisory agenda. This is a high-impact leadership role with responsibility for thought leadership development, market engagement, and client delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the AI technology ecosystemincluding generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning (ML), intelligent automationand experience advising clients across technology strategy and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Everest Groups AI-focused research, including PEAK Matrix assessments, market reports, and proprietary frameworks
• Manage client advisory engagements, providing high-quality insights on AI strategy, vendor selection, and transformation execution
• Serve as a thought leader and spokesperson at external forums, client briefings, webinars, and media interactions
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analysts; guide research agendas, delivery quality, and professional development
• Drive proactive high-value engagement (PHE) with stakeholders across enterprise clients, service providers, and technology firms
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities, shape proposals, and support business development
• Build and maintain strong executive relationships within the AI and broader digital ecosystem

Required Experience & Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in research, consulting, or strategic advisory roles with a focus on AI technology
• Proven expertise in problem-solving, market analysis, client engagement, and solutioning in the AI space
• Strong executive presence, with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders and represent the firm externally
• Experience leading high-performing teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent storytelling, synthesis, and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficiency with research methodologies, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with visualisation or modelling tools is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MTech, or equivalent) strongly preferred
