Portfolio Marketing Manager - Automotive and Aerospace Solutions Division

Job Description:

Portfolio marketing role of automotive market. Plan new product development. Expand, execute and manage existing product family by collaborating with other functions sales, finance, production and planner across global.

As a Portfolio Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with the Automotive OEMs both on the ICE as well as Auto Electrification  and the adjoining space of Component suppliers. Here, you will make an impact by directly working with our Marketing /Portfolio teams to create an impact in the New Product development space in the Auto world:

Being Creative and Focused in:

            Executing a strong NPI process for the India Growth plans by timely launch of New Products to the India Market be delivering the Target sales and Margins

            Work with India Auto Inc in the Auto Electrification field to identify the Grwith Opportunities for 3M Solutions , understanding the Market Dynamics , Mapping the        

           Players , Growth plans , Expansion plans

            Size the Market , Identification of Needs ( Technology / Commercials )

           Competition Landscape,

           Triggers to Management on the decisions to penetrate the market along side all the Marketing role needs

Development, commercialization, and identification of new opportunities to support new product development.

Pioneer solution engineering through translating customer / market needs that may be articulated or unarticulated – meticulously in clear alignment with AASD Global Objectives and    

 strategies.

Managing and Executing the Product launches with strong KA/ Customer connects , Creating right value adds , Following the NPI process and delivering Sales and Margins

Tech Savvy / IT Knowledge to manage creative Marketing tools and Programs aimed at a futuristic level with AI

In Collaborative ways as:

• Identifying right product ideas , validating the Opportunity , Creating Business Case and Financials
• Participating / leading the new product introductions on division New Product Introduction (NPI) team as a subject matter expert.
• Working cross-functionally to support and achieve portfolio objectives and providing sound and effective technical inputs from the Business.
• Fostering partnerships with manufacturing and supply chain teams, suppliers, and partners to attain the desired results through trials, process development and machinery improvements wherever necessary; validating experiments and methods with pilot and scale up activities.
• Connecting with R&D , Application Engineering , Key Account teams Local and Global

Additional Job Description:

• To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
• B.Tech /M.Tech in Mechanical /Chemical  Engineering  with MBA / Allied subjects from a recognized and reputed university
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Industry work experience with Auto Industry, Industrial preferably Auto Electrification Industry. 
• In-depth experience in product engineering, product/technology development, or manufacturing technology experience in multiple products or platforms. 
   

Desired Soft Skills: 

• Clear & persuasive communicator (both spoken and written) and presenter with having good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Solution seeker – ability to critically evaluate different solutions to address need of the market.
• Commercial intensity- track record to drive product to commercial success.
• Ability to manage risk and creativity to solve unusually hard problems with deep reasoning ability, both analytic and strategic - without being unipolar all the time.
• Leadership and networking skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to manage cross functionally and influence/ indirectly manage other teams within 3M.
