Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated PMT/GMT Faculty to join our team at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Surat. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Surat. The faculty member will deliver engaging lectures, provide hands-on training, and mentor students in pattern-making and garment manufacturing technology. Responsibilities include curriculum development, lesson planning, evaluating student progress, and staying updated with the latest industry trends. The faculty will also actively participate in collaborative projects and academic events within the institution.

Qualifications

• Expertise in garment construction, pattern-making techniques, and sewing methodologies
• Understanding of fashion design processes and industry best practices
• Proficiency in creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to mentor and guide students, ensuring their academic and professional growth
• Relevant educational qualifications, ideally a degree or certification in fashion design or a related field
• Previous teaching or industry experience in garment manufacturing and pattern design is highly desirable
• Commitment to fostering creativity and innovation in an academic setting

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of pattern drafting and garment construction.
• Hands-on expertise with industrial sewing machines.
• Good communication and classroom handling skills.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma/Bachelor/Master in Fashion Design/Apparel Production.
• 25 years of teaching or industry experience in PMT/GMT.
