About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Playwright Automation Engineer to join our QA and engineering team. This role focuses on building robust front-end automation frameworks and test suites using Playwright with Typescript for applications developed in React. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in UI and API testing, experience with CI/CD systems, and a good understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Typescript for React applications.
• Develop and maintain automated API test suites using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Collaborate with front-end and backend developers to ensure testability and quality are built into all phases of development.
• Establish and maintain a robust automation framework to support ongoing functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Integrate automated tests (UI and API) into the CI/CD pipeline for seamless execution and reporting.
• Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Conduct code reviews and share best practices with the automation and development teams.
• Create clear documentation for test strategies, execution plans, and reporting mechanisms.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Optionally contribute to AWS-based infrastructure testing or deployment support if needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Typescript for front-end test automation.
• Solid understanding of React-based application structures and DOM manipulation.
• Hands-on experience in API testing and validating RESTful services using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.
• Proficient with Git and version control workflows.
• Familiarity with test design techniques like BDD, TDD, and test case optimization.
• Ability to analyze functional requirements and translate them into both UI and API automated test scenarios.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, EC2, CloudWatch) in the context of testing or deployment.
• Experience with performance testing or visual regression testing tools.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.

Educational Background:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
