Role Summary - Key Responsibilities

Strategic thinker

Understands the big picture of what the System Team is expected to provide

Asks strong clarifying questions (scope, assumptions, acceptance criteria, and timeline expectations)

Validates direction early (quick demos, checkpoints, feedback loops, integrated quality checks)

UI (Web)

• React + TypeScript
• Next.js (optional)
• Component library: Material UI (MUI)
• Charts: ECharts or Plotly (for the ADO (Azure DevOps) + GitHub roll-up dashboard)

Backend (APIs + integrations)

• Python: FastAPI (REST APIs, webhook receiver, good performance)
• Background jobs/workers: Celery (with Redis) or Azure Functions for async tasks
• AuthN/AuthZ: Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for user login; GitHub App (preferred) for GitHub API access
• Observability: Application Insights (logs, traces, alerts)

Database

Primary (transactional / system-of-record): PostgreSQL

• Best default for: integration tracking, audit logs, mappings , workflow state, notifications.
• Common deployment: Azure Database for PostgreSQL (Flexible Server)
