Job Title: Platform Engineer

Experience Required: 5+ years

Location: Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate highly available and fully monitored systems.
• Develop systems capable of breaking gracefully without impacting customers.
• Innovatively find solutions to problems that have not yet occurred.
• Lead technical calls and actively participate, rather than just reading manuals also contribute to documentation.
• Possess expert troubleshooting skills and the ability to find answers and solutions that are not available online.
• Write code in multiple languages as needed.
• Read packet captures and install unfamiliar software and tools efficiently.
• Be curious, a fast learner, and share knowledge proactively.
• Mentor and guide other team members to foster skill growth and knowledge sharing.

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of experience.
• Unix/Linux expertise, with Red Hat Systems administration level proficiency.
• Coding skills in Shell, Python, Java, and SQL.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins or TeamCity, Artifactory, GitHub.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk and Grafana.
• Experience working with Python, Java-based applications, and other general applications.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, load balancing, TLS/SSL, security, firewalls, and proxies.
• Infrastructure experience with physical servers and cloud compute environments.
• Troubleshooting capabilities across integrated systems (upstream, downstream, and in-stream).
• Experience with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or similar is a plus.
