Platform Engineer (Backend-Focused | Internal Tools & Automation)

Role: Open Source Full Stack Developer

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Location: 2x Days onsite - Bangalore, India

Were hiring a backend-heavy Full Stack Developer to build internal platforms, automation frameworks, and developer tools. This is not a product role youll focus on system-level services that power engineering teams at scale and reduce operational toil.

What youll do

• Build internal backend services, APIs, and automation tools (75%)
• Design scalable, reliable microservices and internal platforms
• Automate CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, access management, and workflows
• Containerize and deploy services using Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC
• Build lightweight internal dashboards and tooling UIs (25%)

What were looking for

• Strong backend experience (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java)
• Experience with internal tooling, platforms, or automation systems
• Solid knowledge of Linux, containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
• Working frontend skills with React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience with databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Strong API design (REST/GraphQL) and Git-based workflows

Nice to have

• Platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE experience
• IaC tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible)
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Open-source contributions or startup experience
