Are you a senior cloud architect / platform leader who enjoys owning global, highly available cloud platforms at scale?

We are supporting a global energy and e-mobility technology organization that is building and operating a mission-critical, distributed SaaS platform powering electric vehicle charging infrastructure across multiple regions worldwide.

This role is ideal for a hands-on Principal Platform Engineer who combines deep AWS expertise, architectural leadership, and a strong sense of ownership over platform reliability, security, and scalability.

What youll be doing

• Defining and leading cloud architecture for a global, distributed microservices platform
• Designing, evolving, and securing scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient AWS environments
• Owning end-to-end platform architecture, including IAM and security design
• Championing best practices in resiliency, scalability, observability, and cost optimization
• Leading Kubernetes (EKS) platforms supporting containerized workloads
• Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Driving platform reliability, incident response, and stakeholder communications
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into cloud-ready services
• Mentoring engineers and leading resolution of complex technical challenges
• Staying ahead of emerging cloud and platform technologies, including AI/ML enablement

What were looking for

• 12+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale cloud platforms
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or principal/architect role on AWS
• Strong experience building high-availability SaaS platforms (mandatory)
• Deep expertise in AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFront, EKS/ECS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Transit Gateway)
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform
• Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience working in DevOps / SRE models within Agile environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT platforms
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, Security Specialty)
• Experience with GitOps (Argo CD) and CI/CD automation
