Your role in the Team

What you’ll do

You will be joining our welcoming, collaborative Platform Delivery Team which is enabling IG to deliver more with better quality and great consistency while adhering to industry best practices.

In this position you will:

- Build and configure Linux servers using Infrastructure as Code: Puppet and Ansible are our bread and butter.

- Create infrastructure for applications, help them to communicate with databases and message queues, ensure resiliency with high availability solutions.

- Provide fast and reliable content delivery with Akamai and Amazon Web Services.

- Automate repetitive tasks using Jenkins and scripts.

- Participate in future development of our constantly evolving tools, phase out legacy software.

What you’ll need

Must have: 

• You are a Linux engineer with at least 6 years’ experience, knowing how to install, update and manage servers. You are able to partition disks, and you know how to analyse log files to find the pertaining information. You feel confident rebooting a system in emergency mode to fix an issue.

• You understand networking, high-availability systems, and DNS records. You have experience in managing Apache web services, secure connections, and certificates.

• You are also willing to learn, work under minimal supervision, be independent but not afraid to ask for help.

Nice to have:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS or Rocky

• Ansible, AWS, Puppet, Git, Jenkins, Ruby, Python, Bash, DNS, virtualisation (Nutanix)

• Akamai and Amazon Web Services

• Kubernetes, Docker, HAProxy
