Job Title

Data Management and Automation Consultant (Focusing on design, implementation, migration for Data Integration & Replication, Platform / Database Observability)

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Consulting and Delivery Consultant with strong expertise in real-time data replication, data integration, database Observability and analytics platforms. The role involves solution design, implementation, migration, performance tuning, and post-go-live support co-ordination for enterprise customers using platforms such as Datadog, Quest Foglight, SolarWinds, Oracle Goldengate, Quest SharePlex, and Qlik platforms.

The consultant will work closely with customers, architects, project managers, and internal and OEM presales teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-availability data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Consulting & Solution Design

• Engage with customers to understand business need, their data objective, integration need, SLAs , KPIs, observability and training requirements

Solution Design & Delivery

• Design and implement solutions like below

oPlatform, Database and Network Observability architectures using Datadog / Foglight /

SolarWinds / etc with the knowledge of on Prem and cloud

oData replication architectures using Oracle GoldenGate / Quest SharePlex / Qlik Replicate /

Compose and Redgate / AWS DMS / Fivetran / Striim / IBM Data Replication

oImplement and Train customers on Database Development and Testing tools like Toad / DBveaer /

DataGrip / Navicut / DbVisualizer/ Data Modeler Tools (ERwin/Integra) / SQL Workbench

• Define and Configure agents, collectors, dashboards, alerts, and reports
• Deliver HLDs, LLDs, Architecture diagrams, runbooks, data flow models, and trainings
• Recommend best-fit tools, topologies, and deployment models (on-prem, cloud, hybrid)
• Provide technology advisory for migration, modernization, and cloud adoption initiatives

Delivery & Implementation

• Install, configure, upgrade and integrate above mentioned solution across environments:
• Physical, Virtual (VMware / Hyper-V / KVM / OpenStack)
• Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Implement:
• DC and DR Solution using Replication or monitoring solution
• Across Heterogeneous platformfor replication and observability
• Zero-downtime migrations for database and data movement
• Thresholds, alerts, and escalation policies for the implemented solution
• Synthetic monitoring performance baselines and service maps
• Dashboards and executive views
• Configure:
• Conflict detection and resolution
• Query performance analysis and insights
• Wait events, locks, blocking sessions
• Capacity and growth forecasting
• Resource bottleneck identification
• DDL replication
• Data filtering and transformation
• Enable database observability:
• Query performance analysis
• Wait events, locks, blocking sessions
• Resource bottleneck identification
• Perform production rollouts, upgrades, and migrations
• Perform cut-over planning and execution with minimal business disruption

Operations, Performance & Support

• Monitor and tune performance and latency for database and data replication
• Troubleshoot:
• Replication lag
• Data inconsistencies
• Network and storage bottlenecks
• Implement HA/DR architectures and failover strategies
• Provide L3/L4 production support and root cause analysis
• Prepare runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
• Work with DBAs to resolve real-world performance issues

Provide guidance and support for Analytics & Business Intelligence Team

• Design and deliver ideas for dashboards and data models
• Help to prepare solution for Integrating real-time and batch data sources
• Solution on how to Optimize data models for performance and scalability
• Solutions to Enable self-service BI and analytics adoption for business users
• Governance, security, and access control

Presales & Customer Enablement

• Support presales activities:
• Support Technical presentations
• Technical discovery workshops
• Support RFP/RFI responses
• Own Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
• Estimate effort, timelines, and risks for delivery projects
• Conduct knowledge transfer, training, and workshops for customers
• Act as a trusted technical advisor during the customer lifecycle

Required Technical Skills

Data Replication & Integration

• Strong hands-on experience
• Experience on above mentioned or similar solutions
• Solid understanding of:
• Log-based replication
• CDC (Change Data Capture)
• Transaction consistency and latency management
• Observability & Monitoring Tools

Databases

• Oracle Database (mandatory)
• At least two of:
• Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL / MariaDB / DB2
• Strong SQL and database performance tuning skills
• Understanding of Query execution plans, Wait states and locks, I/O, CPU, memory bottlenecks

Platforms , Infrastructure & support skills

• Linux / Unix administration
• Networking fundamentals (ports, firewalls, latency)
• Storage concepts (IOPS, throughput)
• Cloud exposure (AWS / Azure / OCI) is a plus
• TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, ports
• Scripting: Bash / PowerShell / Python (basic automation) will be Plus

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 612 years of experience in data integration, monitoring, performance management, Observability, replication, or analytics delivery
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale projects
• Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Relevant certifications (preferred):
