Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules for building construction projects, including residential, commercial, and high-rise developments. The role involves project planning, progress tracking, delay analysis, and coordination with site and commercial teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree / PG / Diploma in Civil Engineering (NICMAR certification preferred)
• 2 6 years of experience in building construction projects such as residential towers, commercial buildings, villas, or mixed-use developments

Technical Skills

• Primavera P6
• MS Project
• Advanced MS Excel
• Understanding of building construction sequencing and methodologies
• Knowledge of EOT and delay analysis techniques

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project for building construction activities.
• Develop baseline programs, resource-loaded schedules, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Define project milestones, critical paths, and major deliverables for structural and finishing works.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against the baseline schedule.
• Monitor key construction activities such as excavation, foundation, structural works, MEP works, faade, and finishing works.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and S-curve analysis for management review.

Resource & Cost Coordination

• Assist in planning manpower, materials, and equipment required for construction activities.
• Coordinate with procurement, site engineers, and contractors for timely material delivery and mobilization.
• Support cost control teams with schedule-based forecasting and time-impact analysis.

Risk & Delay Management

• Analyze schedule deviations and identify potential delays in project timelines.
• Prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans to maintain project timelines.
• Assist in preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims with proper supporting documentation.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams for schedule updates.
• Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings and present planning reports.
• Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, and finishing activities.
