Planning Engineer

Role Summary

The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing and updating design schedules, tracking drawing progress, coordinating with design teams, and reporting delays and risks. The role ensures smooth workflow between Architecture, MEP, BIM, and other design departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update design schedules for all projects.
• Track drawing submissions, revisions, and approvals.
• Coordinate with Architecture, MEP, BIM, and other design teams.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and dashboards.
• Monitor delays, highlight risks, and support recovery planning.
• Assist in resource planning and workload distribution.
• Maintain drawing logs and design documentation.
• Support design coordination meetings and follow-up actions.

Skills Required

• Strong planning and scheduling knowledge.
• Good understanding of design workflows (Architecture / MEP / BIM).
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good analytical and reporting abilities.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Power BI or dashboard tools.
• Experience with document management systems (e.g., BIM 360).

Education & Experience

• B. Tech in civil engineering
• 26 years of experience in design planning or project planning.
• Experience in construction, real estate, or design consultancy is an added advantage.
