Job Description

To lead and manage the Training & Placement Cell of Pallavi Engineering College, facilitating industry engagement, student career preparation, and successful recruitment of students into meaningful employment. The role bridges students, industry recruiters, alumni, and academic departments to support career.


Key Responsibilities


1. Industry Engagement & Employer Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with companies, HR professionals, and industry partners to arrange campus recruitment drives (on-campus and off-campus)
  • Act as the primary contact for recruiters and convey the colleges value proposition during hiring cycles.
  • Invite companies for pre-placement talks, workshops, internships, and training partnerships .

2. Student Career Preparation

  • Organize training programs for students such as soft-skills workshops, aptitude tests, group discussions, technical and HR interview preparation.
  • Provide career counselling , mentoring students on job search strategies, resume writing, and interview readiness.
  • Guide students toward competitive exam preparation or higher education information when relevant.

3. Recruitment Drive Management

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate placement activities, including campus interviews, company presentations, and hiring events.
  • Collect and maintain student profiles , academic records, and placement statistics.
  • Ensure smooth communication between recruiters, students, and internal placement coordinators.

4. Data & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed placement records , offers received, placement rates, and employer feedback.
  • Prepare placement reports for college management, accreditation bodies, and promotional materials .
  • Track industry trends, recruitment patterns, and evolving skill demands to support curriculum alignment.

5. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with departmental placement coordinators and faculty to target relevant opportunities for students.
  • Engage with alumni to create networking, placement, and mentorship opportunities.
  • Partner with external skill enhancement partners and training agencies as needed.


Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree (often in Engineering, Management, HR, or related fields).
  • Experience in student placements, corporate relations, and training roles preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Strong organizational ability and proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • Understanding of industry hiring practices and emerging job market trends.
