Role Overview

A Placement Coordinator works with educational institutions or training centers to:

  • Organize campus recruitment drives
  • Build relationships with companies
  • Prepare students for job opportunities

Key Responsibilities

Industry & Company Relations

  • Connect with companies for hiring opportunities
  • Invite recruiters for campus placements
  • Maintain a database of recruiters and job openings

Placement Activities

  • Plan and coordinate placement drives, job fairs, and interviews
  • Schedule interviews, tests, and group discussions
  • Manage logistics for recruitment events

Student Support

  • Guide students on career options
  • Conduct resume-building and interview preparation sessions
  • Track student progress and placement status

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain placement records and statistics
  • Prepare reports on placement performance
  • Track offers, salaries, and recruiter feedback

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Networking and relationship-building
  • Basic knowledge of recruitment processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (MBA/HR is often preferred)
