Placement Director

We are looking to hire a senior leader for the role of Head Placements & Corporate Relations (Director level), with strong placement experience, preferably from design or other premium institutes.

Key responsibilities

Placement Strategy & Leadership

Define and execute a national placement strategy aligned with Pearl Academys academic vision

Ensure high-quality placement outcomes across UG & PG Design and Business programs

Lead, mentor, and scale the placement & corporate relations team

Set annual placement targets (percentage placed, average CTC, recruiter growth)

Corporate & Industry Engagement

Build long-term partnerships with fashion houses, design studios, luxury brands, agencies, consultancies, and global corporations

Expand the recruiter base across India & Internationally

Organize industry events

Campus Placements & Internships

Oversee internships, live projects, and final placements

Structure and execute campus placement drives, career fairs, and portfolio showcases

Ensure transparent and student-centric placement processes

Drive placement readiness programs with academic teams

Student Employability & Career Development

Collaborate with Deans and Program Heads to align curriculum with industry needs

Design employability frameworks: portfolio readiness, interview skills, professional grooming

Introduce global best practices in career services and assessment

Data, Reporting & Governance

Implement and manage placement CRM systems

Track KPIs: placement %, salary trends, recruiter repeat rate

Present placement reports to leadership, accreditation bodies, and marketing teams

Ensure compliance with institutional policies and ethical standards\

Team Management

Lead a multi-campus placement team including Corporate Relations Managers, Placement Officers, and Coordinators

Build a performance-driven, relationship-oriented culture

Manage placement budgets and ROI

Experience- 1215 years of experience in placements, corporate relations, talent acquisition, or industry leadership.

Experience in design, fashion, luxury, retail, creative, or premium education highly preferred.
