Overview of the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer with 5 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL development. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions while working closely with architects, designers, and business users to deliver reliable and high-quality applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Analyze application requirements and translate them into efficient database logic.
• Perform query performance tuning, optimization, and indexing.
• Troubleshoot application and database-related issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Handle basic database administration tasks such as installation, backup and restore, and database and table creation.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Review requirements with users and provide accurate time and effort estimates.
• Produce and maintain clean, well-documented program code.
• Prioritize tasks and deliver under tight timelines in a high-pressure environment.
• Actively participate in team discussions and contribute to a collaborative work culture.

Desired Skills / Background:

• 5+ years of experience in PL/SQL development.
• Strong understanding of database schemas and system tables.
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
• Exposure to at least one major database platform such as Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
