Knowledge Base / Soft Skills:

Prepare Project Design basis for Stress Analysis.

Prepare Stress Critical Line List. Execute Modeling using CAESAR-II software.

Execute Stress analysis using CAESAR-II software.

Prepare Stress reports in project deliverable format.

Mark-up stress related data (routing changes, support location and types, etc.) on

isometrics for updating in 3D model.

Prepare Piping Load Summary as input for Civil/Structural design.

Prepare Datasheets, RFQ / MR, TBA and VDR for bought out supports (Eg. Springs)

Good understanding and awareness of:

ASME B31.3 code requirements related to safety in stress.

Flange leakage calculations.

Calculation of nozzle displacements using first principles (using Geometry, material, temperature).

Pipe support constructions.

Spring selection criteria.

Stress analysis of buried Piping.

3D model navigation in Navisworks

Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Paint.

Below experience will be an added advantage:

WRC calculations.

Nozzle stiffness calculation using NozzlePro software.

Stress analysis of non-metallic piping (Eg. GRP).

ASME B31.1 code (Power Piping) requirements related to safety in stress

Good English communication skills - written and oral.

4-10 years hands-on experience in Piping Stress Analysis of Oil & Gas and/or Chemical

Sector projects.

Added advantage: Hands-on experience in stress analysis of hydrocarbon piping

connected to fractionation columns, fired heaters, shell and tube heat exchangers,

pressure vessels, Fin-fan coolers, pumps, storage tanks, safety valve network, flare

network.

B) Software exposure: CAESAR-II, 3D model navigation in Navisworks.

(C) Position specific requirements:

(1) Sector: Oil & Gas and/or Chemical

(2) Educational Qualification: BE, B-Tech Mechanical.

(3) Software exposure: CAESAR-II, Navisworks

(4) Experience: 5-15 years' relevant experience in piping stress analysis of Oil & Gas and/or Chemical projects.
