PHP Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code.
• Develop and maintain scalable backend components and APIs.
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
• Design and implement secure data storage solutions using SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, QA, and DevOps.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and apply them to operations and activities.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in PHP and experience with frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• 3 to 5 years of experience
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
• Understanding security best practices and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Linux

Nice to Have:

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).
• Amazon Web Services
• Experience with AI tools such as Github CoPilot, Cursor.AI, AWS Bedrock, etc.
• Experience in financial services
