JD PHP Developer

Reports to IT Manager

Majorly responsible for PHP development, Design and Customer support for smooth running

and ensures best user satisfaction from IT service.

Responsibilities includes:

Application Development: Work on application development, reporting,

and data analysis needs.

Server-Side Logic: Develop all server-side logic, define and maintain the central

database, and ensure high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.

Design Support: Provide design support for the development of business intelligence

and analytics solutions.

Team Collaboration: Work on multiple tasks/projects as a team member.

Data Analysis: Work with structured and unstructured data to derive meaningful

insights to solve business problems. Hands-on with SQL databases for importing,

extracting, and cleaning data. Process data through MySQL, Oracle, and MS SQL.

Data Analytics and Decision Sciences : Experience in predictive modeling, data

mining, and deep-dive strategic analysis is an added advantage.

Data Visualization: Create aggregations, hierarchies, charts, filters, quick filters, table

calculations, trend lines, and calculated measures.

Database Administration: Responsible for database infrastructure administration,

focusing on improving performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous

monitoring and troubleshooting.

Support and Documentation: Provide support and follow through on service delivery

process documentation.

Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot software bugs/errors and diagnose and solve software

issues.

Root Cause Analysis: Focus on root cause analyses and review continuous

improvements.

Service Desk: Regularly update Service Desk ticket progress/status, including time

reporting.

Case Management: Continuously prioritize and review open cases with timely

escalation to management.

Relationship Management: Establish good working relationships with internal

customers, vendors, and other professionals.

Safety and Health Checks: Monitor and conduct regular safety checks, including

database and application health checks and backups.

Communication Skills: Must have strong English communication skills. Qualifications / Experience:

Education: Graduate in any stream with deep applications development and support

knowledge.

Experience : 4-5 years in a similar profile, preferably in manufacturing or an MNC.

Technical Skills:

PHP (no framework), XDEBUG, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery), Bootstrap,

GIT, REST

SQL, UI interfaces, data analytics, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced Linux knowledge

MySQL/MariaDB and other SQL databases (advantageous)

Software Development: Knowledge of software development, testing, and support

cycles.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt working style to changes as needed by IT management.

Customer Service: Good customer service skills, with strong oral and written

communication abilities. Proficient in presentation tools.

Initiative: High on initiative, conveys a sense of urgency, drives issues to closure, and

persists despite obstacles and ambiguities.
