Ø  Collect blood samples from patients for investigations in one prick.

Ø  Practice proper patient identification, especially when working on hospital floors.

Ø  Fill the lab test requisition form.

Ø  Work on the software of Hinai and bar code printing for the labeling of vacutainers.

Ø  Operate the pneumatic for sending the sample from the collection site to the lab.

Ø  Maintain the stock for the collection areas.

Ø  Answer the basic queries of the patient coming for collection regarding the reports and should be able to guide the patient appropriately.

Ø  Do basic data entries of the samples in the lab.

Ø  Follow instructions given to then by the doctors/technicians/customer care.

Ø  Answer the phone calls as and when required at the reception desk.

Ø  Maintain the required patient’s records in soft and hard copies.

Ø  Expect to work with a large number of patients varying in age and health status.

Ø  Transport all specimen samples safely in case of home collection to the laboratory.

Ø  Keep the phlebotomy cart / kit or station well-organized at all times.

Ø  Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment.

Ø  Centrifuge blood samples, as and when required to assist the technicians working in the lab.

Ø  Arrange the Vacutainers on the work bench before and after the investigation process is over.

Ø  Help in locating the desired sample from the preserved sample as and when required.

Ø  In case of absence of the customer-care executive attend answer the phone calls.
