PHE Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing Designer with hands-on experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting plumbing systems for multi-story IT, commercial, residential, hospitality, and hospital buildings, ensuring compliance with local building codes and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design comprehensive plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste, and vent systems, for multi-storied buildings.
• Create detailed plumbing layouts, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to integrate plumbing systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for pipe sizing, pump selection, and water pressure.
• Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and technical reports.
• Review and approve contractor/shop drawings, and provide technical support during construction phases.
• Conduct site visits to ensure designs are being implemented according to plans and to troubleshoot any issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in plumbing design for IT, commercial, residential, hospitality, and hospital projects.
• Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
• Experience in creating plumbing layouts, isometric drawings, and hydraulic calculations.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with green building practices and sustainable plumbing design.
• Knowledge of fire protection is a plus.
