Job Description
The UK GCC Business Administration team is the backbone of the UK WSP business and is vital to the smooth running of the business. With clearly defined career pathways and exciting opportunities to develop, the team is made up of a Business Support team consisting of Business and Project Support, Document and Accessibility specialists, PA Network, Graphics, Concierge, Travel and Fleet. We also have a Senior Personal Assistant network providing support to our senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- As a Personal Assistant, you will report to a Personal Assistant Lead.
- You will be able to meet your colleagues, share tips and best practice, proactively contribute to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment and get involved in new initiatives and ideas.
- Professional problem solver. Expert-level communicator. Impeccable organizer. These are just a few attributes of a WSP Personal Assistant.
- Responsible for providing professional administrative and business support to minimum of five to six Business Unit (BU) Directors, this is an exciting and varied role.
- There is really no such thing as an average day for a WSP PA, but as a snapshot, some of your typical tasks might include (but are not restricted to):
Diary management
Inbox management
International and domestic travel booking
Project management
Meeting and event coordination
Internal communications
Purchases and expenses
Preparation of presentations, marketing materials, and reports
HR tasks onboarding and inductions
You will gain invaluable insight and experience working for one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms and will work with internal stakeholders across our many and varied different functions.
Qualifications
- You will have an eye for detail and the ability to work independently, quickly, and efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Degree qualified
- Fully conversant to an advanced level in Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
The right candidate will:
- Display a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Have excellent prioritization skills.
- Have a minimum of 5+ years experience working as a PA or Executive cum Administrative Assistant, in delivering a high-quality business administration service in demanding and pressurized environments.
- Be very comfortable using your own initiative.
- Have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other colleagues.
