Role: Senior Perl Developer (Linux/Solaris Backend Systems)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Perl Developer with deep expertise in backend systems, largescale batch processing, and Unix/Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting capabilities, solid database skills, and experience working on highvolume enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend applications using advanced Perl scripting for largescale batch processing, data parsing, automation, and file handling.
• Work extensively on Unix/Linux/Solaris platforms with strong commandline proficiency and performance debugging skills.
• Build automation utilities and operational workflows using Shell scripting.
• Design and optimize SQL queries, perform performance tuning, and work with Oracle databases.
• Utilize a working understanding of C and Pro*C for integration and performancecritical components.
• Support highvolume batch processing systems, including settlement and reconciliation workflows.
• Participate in the complete SDLC using Agile methodologies.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into maintainable, scalable code.
• Perform advanced debugging, including log analysis, file tracing, and SQL trace analysis.
• Implement unit testing, automated validations, and contribute to code quality improvements.
• Provide production deployment support and perform rootcause analysis for issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of handson Perl development experience
• Strong expertise with Unix/Linux/Solaris environments
• Proficiency in Shell scripting
• Solid experience with Oracle (SQL, query optimization, performance tuning)
• Good understanding of C and Pro*C
• Strong knowledge of backend pipelines and highvolume batch processing
• Excellent debugging and problemsolving skills
• Experience working in Agile environments and across the full SDLC
