JOB POSITION

• Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking Senior Software Engineer.
• Reporting to Assistant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting our data analytics initiatives.
• This role requires a deep understanding of Playwright (TypeScript) test automation and Web UI testing best practices, along with the ability to mentor team members in their day-to-day tasks and provide support as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Build and optimize robust Web UI automation suites (smoke, regression, end-to-end) with high maintainability and reusability.

QUALIFICATION

Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers)

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years as Load Runner, Performance, AWS, Core Java
• Hands-on experience with LoadRunner for performance and load testing
• Experience in writing stable, maintainable, and low‑flakiness automated tests
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Proven experience in test automation, including building and maintaining scalable frameworks
• Hands-on experience using deterministic waits, stable locator strategies, retries/timeouts, and debugging with traces, screenshots, and videos
• API testing experience (Playwright APIRequestContext, REST validation, authentication/token handling, contract testing)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong fundamentals of Performance Testing
• Working knowledge of Core Java concepts
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for Web UI automation
• Good understanding of automation framework design and best practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, and QA teams
• Skilled in test strategy creation, test coverage planning, and quality oversight
• Ability to analyze failures, debug issues, and improve overall framework efficiency
• Strong understanding of automation architecture, design patterns (POM, fixtures, reusable utilities), and methods to reduce flaky tests
• Familiarity with Git and experience working in agile development environments
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• CI/CD exposure – GitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab CI / Azure DevOps (report publishing, artifact storage)
