Job Description
As a Localization Engineer PC, youll ensure global readiness of PC products by enabling seamless localization workflows, technical integration, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and process files for translation across PC titles.
- Build and maintain scripts/tools to automate localization workflows.
- Collaborate with linguists, PMs, and developers to integrate localized assets.
- Troubleshoot encoding, formatting, and file conversion issues.
- Validate localized builds and ensure proper implementation.
- Maintain documentation for tools, workflows, and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Masters preferred.
- 24+ years in localization engineering or related technical role.
- Strong understanding of localization workflows and file formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with debugging encoding and automation issues.
- Familiarity with Git or version control tools.
- Experience in PC software or game development is a plus.
