Who we are looking for

Vice President (VP), APAC Payroll, will be part of the Global Payroll and Time & Attendance Leadership team and will contribute to both the strategic and tactical direction of the organization as a whole. The role leads all regional payroll activities across the payroll cycle in collaboration with global HR process owners and global HR Centers of Excellence. This role will oversee payroll operations for all APAC countries, except for India.

Vice President (VP), APAC Payroll, will lead a service-oriented team to deliver payroll across the APAC region from our offices in APAC region. The APAC payroll environment encompasses a number of high-volume payroll countries on several different cycles, through our third-party payroll vendors. The position is responsible for leading and driving the continuous improvement of all payroll services. Additionally, this role will ensure tax and legal compliance, as well as ongoing governance of all payroll activities. This role must build and maintain relationships with clients at multiple levels across multiple businesses within the region and globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads all aspects of people management with a focus on fostering an environment where employees are engaged to do their best work

  • Drive process and risk excellence, and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Represent the region on all transformation, M&A, and governance initiatives

  • Provide leadership necessary to resolve complex issues and triage escalations to senior management

  • Regularly review organizational performance with leadership/stakeholders

  • Keep up to date with statutory, legislative, revenue impacts on the payroll environment and communicate to the team

  • Continually measure monitor and improve the process; ensure alignment with benchmarks

  • Drive technology requirements, and support automation, testing and tools integration

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience in Payroll with a major focus on APAC payroll

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and build great teams and cultures working within region and across the globe

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a highly effective risk and control environment

  • Innately accountable for quality, accuracy and timeliness of results and handling complex issues with a sense of urgency

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills

  • Track record of strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
