Payroll Specialist (4-6 years' Experience)
Role Description
Responsible for processing and advising on payrolls located in North America & Canada. The Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for contributing to payroll related projects, providing timely and accurate payroll reporting and data to the business as required.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- End-to end preparation and processing of the biweekly & Semi-Monthly payrolls for NA & Canada.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state (US), and provincial (Canada) tax and labor laws, plus company policies.
- Proven experience with multi-jurisdictional payroll (US & Canada).
- Act as the primary contact for all payroll-related employee questions.
- Deep understanding of NA & Canada payroll legislation.
- Collect, verify, and maintain accurate employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and timekeeping data.
- Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits, and retirement contributions.
Experience Required
- Experience with running end to end NA & Canada payrolls
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Cloud Pay, Workday)
- Experience with using outsourced providers
- Sound knowledge of relevant payroll legislation
- Willingness and ability to learn other payroll legislation in applicable region
- Expertise in payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder liaison.
