Job Description
Job Purpose:
To ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, adherence to statutory compliance, and proper record maintenance, contributing to smooth HR operations in a manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Collect, verify, and process employee attendance and leave data.
- Prepare and execute monthly salary processing through payroll software.
- Validate salary structures, deductions (PF, ESI, TDS), incentives, and reimbursements.
Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely deposit of PF, ESI, PT, and TDS.
- File returns and maintain statutory records as per labor laws and audit requirements.
Employee Support:
- Handle salary-related queries from employees.
- Issue payslips, Form 16, and salary certificates.
Record Management:
- Maintain employee master data and payroll records.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of payroll data.
Coordination:
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT departments.
- Liaise with external consultants/auditors for compliance audits.
Exit & Final Settlement:
- Process full & final settlements.
- Calculate gratuity, leave encashment, and other dues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, HR, or related field. MBA/PGDM in HR is a plus.
Experience: 23 years in payroll processing, preferably in a manufacturing company.
Skills:
- Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Spine)
- Good understanding of labor laws and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Good communication and coordination skills
