Job Description

I'm reaching out regarding an urgent career opportunity with top-tier Real Estate developer based in Mumbai .


Designation: Asst. Manager - Payroll Specialist

Max CTC offered for the role - 10-16 Lacs per annum


Job Summary :

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple locations including Powai, Thane, Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The role ensures accurate salary processing, compliance, and reporting using Darwinbox , while handling processing of CTC and non-CTC reimbursements for all employees.


Desired Work Experience and Qualification :

  1. A graduate degree is essential
  2. 7-8 years of Work experience as a Payroll Specialist


Key Skills Required :

  1. Proficiency in Darwinbox payroll module (essential for inputs, processing, reports, and helpdesk).
  2. Handling End to End Payroll Processing for multi-location organizations
  3. In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation for salaried employees, including ETDS, PT, income tax computations, PF/EPS/ESIC/LWF compliance.
  4. Familiarity with outsourced payroll agencies, bank portals, and SAP integration for JVs/reports.
  5. Strong Excel skills for data handling and accuracy in high-volume transactions. Excellent attention to detail, deadline adherence (e.g., monthly timelines), and communication for HR/finance coordination.


Key Responsibilities :

  1. Validation of the inputs provided to the payroll agency in regards to the monthly salary data pertaining to recurring payments, recoveries, ad-hoc payouts (incentives, reimbursements, advances), previous month adjustments, time details/loss of pay. Details of perquisites applicable to employee. Details for the car Scheme.
  2. Confirm payable days per employee and process salaries , including draft and final salary registers for HR validation.
  3. Coordinate funding with Finance and ensure the payroll agency generates bank files, cheque requisitions, and upload net salaries to bank portals (post-HR approval);.
  4. Provide monthly reports as received from payroll agency with finance team: strength reports (department-wise summaries for SAP), salary/PF/EPS/PT/Income tax/ESIC/LWF registers, LIC/bank loan/credit society/other recovery lists.
  5. Co ordinate with payroll agency for investment declarations/proof submission and tax calculations in payroll portal .
  6. Process Full & Final settlements: update separations/notice pay, loans/recoveries, unclaimed LTA, leave/gratuity/perks/tax calculations, investment changes, intimation, and payment/JV (monthly with approvals).
  7. Process CTC reimbursements accurately as per policy.
  8. Liaise with stakeholders for NPS, meal card payments, any other vendor related to employee compensation and benefits.
