Job Summary:

The Payroll & Compliance Head is responsible for end-to-end payroll operations, statutory compliance, audits, and governance across the organization. The role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining full compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. The position also plays a strategic role in policy formulation, process optimization, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:-

Payroll Management

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for large employee bases across multiple locations
• Ensure accurate computation of salaries, incentives, bonuses, arrears, and full & final settlements
• Manage payroll inputs, validations, and approvals within defined timelines
• Handle payroll accounting, reconciliations, and payroll-related journal entries
• Ensure compliance with wage structures, minimum wages, and company compensation policies

Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements such as:
• PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity
• TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable tax laws
• Shops & Establishments Act, CLRA, Factory Act (as applicable)
• Manage statutory filings, returns, challans, and assessments within due dates
• Coordinate and handle inspections, audits, and inquiries from government authorities
• Stay updated on changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll-related legislation
