Partner Lawyer (Law Firm Only)

About the Role

We are looking to strengthen our corporate practice in Delhi and are hiring multiple Partners across three distinct transactional areas :

Partner Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

Partner Capital Markets

Partner Banking & Finance

This role is open to Partners or Partner-track professionals from Tier-1 or strong Tier-2 law firms , with or without a portable book of business.

Candidates may specialise in any one of the above practice areas .

Role-Specific Responsibilities

Partner Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

• Lead domestic and cross-border M&A transactions including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, PE/VC investments, and restructurings.
• Manage transaction structuring, negotiations, documentation, and closing.
• Advise boards and senior management on complex strategic transactions.

Partner Capital Markets

• Lead equity and debt capital markets transactions including IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, preferential allotments, and listed debt issuances.
• Advise on SEBI regulations, listing requirements, disclosures, and ongoing compliance.
• Act for issuers, investment banks, intermediaries, and institutional investors.

Partner Banking & Finance

• Lead financing transactions including bilateral and syndicated lending, project finance, acquisition finance, structured finance, and debt restructuring.
• Advise lenders, borrowers, NBFCs, and financial institutions on complex financing structures.
• Manage negotiations, documentation, and execution of financing transactions.

Practice & Team Leadership

Across all roles, we expect Partners to:

• Build, mentor, and manage a core team of 12 Associates / Senior Associates .
• Ensure high-quality delivery, workflow management, and associate development.
• Collaborate closely with tax, competition, regulatory, insolvency, and disputes teams.

Business Development

• For Partners with a book of business , we expect active growth and deepening of client relationships.
• For Partners without a book , we expect strong participation in firm-led BD initiatives, cross-selling, and referrals.
• Contribute to thought leadership and the firms market positioning.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory:

• 15+ years PQE in M&A, Capital Markets, or Banking & Finance.
• Currently a Partner or Partner-track professional at a Tier-1 or strong Tier-2 law firm in India.
• Strong client-handling skills and leadership capability.

Preferred:

• Cross-border transaction exposure.
• Ability to build and scale a long-term practice.
