Paint Artist

Location: Sakinaka, Mumbai (On-site)

We are looking for a skilled Paint/Prep Artist to join our VFX team. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, strong technical skills in Nuke (and related tools), and the ability to deliver clean, seamless shots for high-end film, OTT, and commercial projects.

You will work closely with compositors, roto artists, and supervisors to ensure all plates are prepared and cleaned to the highest visual standards.

• Perform paint and prep tasks including rig/wire removal, marker cleanup, plate restoration, beauty clean-up, and object removal.
• Create clean plates and seamless paint fixes using a combination of 2D and 3D techniques.
• Collaborate with the compositing and roto departments to ensure clean, production-ready plates.
• Maintain the continuity and consistency of shots across sequences.
• Optimize and troubleshoot paint/prep scripts for efficiency and performance.
• Follow the studios color pipeline and file-naming conventions.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining the required visual quality standards.

• Proficiency in Nuke (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of Roto, Tracking, and Plate Preparation workflows.
• Experience with 2D and 3D projections, warping, and paint node techniques.
• Ability to handle complex cleanup tasks independently.
• Familiarity with camera projections, grain management, and color space workflows.
• Minimum 13 years of production experience in a VFX studio (freshers with strong demo reels may also apply).

• Basic understanding of Silhouette, Mocha, or Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Python or TCL scripting for Nuke automation is a plus.
• A creative eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
