Job Description

Position Overview:


The Senior/ Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves a mix of strategic planning, sales execution, and client consultation, ensuring that SparxIT continues to expand its footprint in digital transformation, AI, and software development services.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition


  • Identify and engage with potential clients through various channels (LinkedIn, email outreach, networking, events, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads for IT services, software development, and AI solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor positioning, and new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with pre-sales and marketing teams to convert inbound leads into potential opportunities.


2. Sales & Revenue Growth


  • Own the sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring a high conversion rate.
  • Develop and present compelling proposals, RFP responses, and business pitches.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Collaborate with VP/Director of Sales to refine sales strategies based on client needs and industry trends.


3. Client Relationship Management


  • Act as the primary point of contact for potential and existing clients.
  • Foster long-term relationships by understanding client needs and recommending appropriate digital transformation solutions.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Liaise with the delivery and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.


4. Collaboration & Reporting


  • Work closely with VP & Director of Sales to align sales strategies with SparxITs growth objectives.
  • Maintain and update CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) to track leads, client interactions, and sales forecasts.
  • Provide weekly/monthly reports on pipeline status, deal closures, and market insights.
  • Represent SparxIT at industry events, conferences, and networking meetups.


5. Market & Industry Knowledge


  • Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, software development, and IT services.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify potential business advantages.
  • Understand SparxITs service offerings in custom software development, AI solutions, product engineering, and ERP modernization to position them effectively in sales discussions.


Qualifications & Experience:


  • 5-8 years of experience in business development, sales, or IT consulting.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets ($50K-$250K deals).
  • Strong experience in B2B sales, enterprise sales, and SaaS/software service sales.
  • Ability to understand technical solutions (AI, cloud, ERP, software development, etc.) and translate them into business value for clients.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools, sales automation platforms, and lead nurturing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
