Job Description
Position Summary
The Room Service Order Taker is responsible for professionally handling all inroom dining requests, ensuring accurate order entry, effective coordination with kitchen and service teams, and delivering a seamless guest experience in line with hotel service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling guest calls and taking accurate food & beverage orders while maintaining a courteous and professional tone
- Entering orders into the POS system and ensuring clear communication with kitchen and service teams
- Providing menu knowledge and upselling recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction
- Monitoring order preparation and delivery timelines to ensure prompt service
- Addressing guest queries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintaining order logs, checklists, and departmental records as per hotel standards
- Coordinating with other departments to support smooth inroom dining operations
- Ensuring adherence to hygiene, safety, and service protocols at all times
