Role Overview

Were looking for a technofunctional consultant who can design, build, and support Oracle Hyperion Planning (PBCS/EPBCS) solutions, lead data integrations (FDMEE/EPM Automate), and collaborate closely with finance stakeholders. This role balances functional finance processes (budgeting, forecasting, approvals) with technical delivery (calculations, integrations, performance optimization).

Core Responsibilities (adopt across 5+ categories)

1) Planning & Essbase (MustHave for 5+)

Design, develop, and maintain PBCS/EPBCS applications and artifacts (forms, business rules, calc scripts, dashboards).
Configure and enhance EPBCS modules (Financials, Workforce, Capex, Projects).

2) Data Integration & Automation (MustHave for 5+)

Build and manage FDMEE mappings, workflows, and data validations.
Automate inbound/outbound interfaces using EPM Automate (scheduling, error handling, logs).
Collaborate with IT/data teams on source/target integrations.

3) Scripting & Data (MustHave for 5+)

Use SQL/PL/SQL for data checks and transformations; shell scripting for job automation.
Maintain integration scripts, parameter files, and environment-specific configs.

4) Functional Delivery & Governance (MustHave for 5+)

Translate user requirements into functional & technical designs , configuration, and test scenarios.
Prepare key deliverables : requirements, solution design, test plans, training materials, and deployment runbooks.
Implement best practices, methodology, and business process improvements .

5) Performance & Optimization (GoodtoHave for 5+)

Diagnose and optimize calc scripts, outlines (ASO/BSO), aggregations , and data loads.
Apply performance tuning and application optimization techniques.

6) Consolidation & Controls (Optional addon)

Exposure to HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) for consolidations and reporting.
Understand SOX controls , audit readiness, environment management.

7) Reconciliation & Metadata (Optional addon)

ARCS : Configure profiles, rules, workflows, and reporting.
DRM : Support metadata governance, hierarchies, and workflow approvals.

MustHave Skills (5+ Categories)

PBCS/EPBCS : Forms, rules (Calc Manager/Groovy), approvals, security.
Essbase : Outline management, calc scripts, ASO/BSO concepts.
FDMEE & EPM Automate : Mappings, workflows, batch automation, error handling.
SQL/PLSQL & Shell scripting : Data validation, automation, utilities.
Documentation & Testing : Functional specs, technical design, test scenarios, UAT.
Stakeholder Engagement : Strong communication with finance users, ability to handle ambiguity.
